Ya might wanna check your facts on that.  Dems took control of Congress in Jan. 2007.   The housing crisis started in 2006.  The housing crisis is what triggered the recession. The recession started in Dec. 2007.  Foreclosure is lagging economic indicator.  Which means something happend that caused the foreclosures.  The causes of the recession occured before the Dems took Congress.
