This is stuff said almost 20 years ago. Circumstances were probably different then, the state of the economy, employment, bail-outs, everything. Maybe the time was right, maybe not. Same applies now. But with unemployment like it is now, and the financial un certainty that looms over us, I feel that this could of and should of been put off a little while longer. When the finanical situation emproves it would have probably been recieved in a better light. A better and more comprehensive bill could have been constructed and implemented. This bill (as any piece of major legislation) is going to take a lot of work and re-work. It may be a start, but because of how it was pushed through gives it a start on the wrong foot. Despite how good any new legislation from either side or even bipartisanship that comes up for a while is going to be met with heavy public opposition. Time to admit it, all of America has been screwed by all of those that are supposed to lead us.
