If it's retail, I don't think DTV will stand up and comp that customer's bill. Bottom line is, we have got to stop doing crap for free. It's killing all the professionals in this business. I have done free custom, but never been strong-armed by the customer. I willingly gave something up to get the job done quicker but if a customer is pushing me then I'm pushing the guy above me. Yes I have paid my techs with drop materials or cash to save customers. The guy above you makes money and can assist you in getting that job in. But will HE??
If you're a professional, then he will. If he doesn't then you don't need to be associated with losers, especially when they're holding 2-3 weeks of your pay. Either he pays for the fish or you feed him fish heads!!
