Thanks very much for the responses guys. We're a family of cable techs and my brother is switching from Charter over to the local FTTH outfit. He is unable to be there when they come to install and was worried that whoever came out may try to power the ONT from the room immediately behind the demarc, instead of the basement where there are power and CATV lines ran.
