Perfect example of how some idiots don't live in the world of reality. The healthcare bill HAS ALREADY BEEN PASSED IN THE SEANATE USING NORMAL PROCEDURES. THE BILL ALREADY PASSED WITH 60 VOTES. Reconciliation willl be used to amend the bill. The Senate bill and the House bill were never reconcilled. Dems are using the reconciliation process to reconcile the House & Senate bill, by the house passing the Senate Bill, and then using Reconcilliation to amend it, and put some of the House language into law.
Clinton wanted the option to pass healthcare in the Senate using reconciliation (51 votes). Totally different situation from today. Today, the healthcare bill already passed with 60 votes.
