They have to pay at least Minimum Wage, they figure that out by taking all the money you make a week, divide by the hours you work, or 40 hours, depending on the state, if that figure is above the state minimum wage (7.50/hour) then they are with in the law. If that amount is lower, they must pay you the difference, but if that happens more than twice, don't expect to have a job for long.
They will also automatically deduct 1 hour per day for lunch, if you take it or not, in most cases.
