Its not just as simple as offering free healthcare. The services available here are 2nd to none. How did we get to this place of unequalled technology and care? To change the business side of healthcare could be catastrophic. Could be, thats the point people are afraid of. Most anyone can go to a local health department and recieve 2nd rate care for little to nothing. Have you been to a VA or military clinic? So much red tape its pathetic. The fear is that this will endager the most technological advanced medical teams in the world. Why did or is the Nova Scotia PM come here for healthcare if his own countrys standardized healthcare is so good? How do you think most of the 3rd world gets their meds so cheap? We pay for it. A byproduct of the American model saves lives around the world. The same people willing to pay for the research expect to participate in the results. How will our government justify taking on the uninsured obese? The crackhead who is losing all his teeth? The uninsured meth head thats getting full bennies and is making money on the DL while increasing the risk of major medical expenses? We're not just talking about the ones that need it that are honest abes. These people still get help that doctors and hospitals write up as a loss. Suddenly they are getting paid by our tax dollars to help people that chose not to help themselves. Its not going to be a free plan if your above the poverty line anyways. You will be expected to carry healthcare. Before its over with you will lose priveleges like your drivers license or such if you dont adhere. Later, they will have to make it mandatory for drug testing to recieve bennies. Get fined for contracting a VD because you didn't wear a condom? Also you and your family will have some kind of body fat indexing eventually. Did you take your vitamin today? How about regulating the food industry menus to achieve a limited liability citizen? Nothing is free! The other options will be to sue the soda and candy makers for healthcare costs(see tobacco). Nationalize the pharmacuetical industry because Uncle Sam cant figure how to afford seniors pills as it is. What you will see is the top notch doctors will be unavailable to most. They will be booked up very quickly similar to Dentists. Try seeing my Dentist and not be a current patient within the next 6 months. I lapsed with him and thats how long the list was to get an appointment. Prime drugs will not be an option in the end. When you remove the people that pay for all this great stuff available what will be left? Hell our government cant figure out how they should administer education, you think they are gonna get this correct? Obviously if you don't think healthcare isnt already available to uninsured youre on another planet. If a hospital recieves tax dollars they are obligated to assist you. What seperates us from the rest this healthcare plan may make us like the rest. Be careful what you ask for. Go to Canada and try seeing a specialist, an Oncologist. See how progressive your cancer gets before you get what you need. I just dont believe in big government and every day ours gets bigger n bigger. How about Obama getting an extension on the patriot act. More Power eh!!!!!
