I'm pleased with my rigid as well. 18v of coarse. 200$ and change. lifetime warranty on lithium ion batteries,drill and charger. Best to buy 2. warranty repair requires sending in all components.
The theory although you may already know it is just a bad battery, is to test all components and replace the bad. Kind of a pain but it could be the last drill you ever buy.
I also agree with just trimming the edge on .875 and up,less qr/tx..just a personal preference..
