Occidental an American company has a 23.44% share of the Zubair oil field.
Exxon also American has a 60% share of the West Qurna oil field.
Iraq now owns a 25% share of their oil fields.

These were all state owned fields prior to the war. In 2005 I think the Iraqi government started to sell shares of the fields for development/production. After years of war and damage to the infrastructure attempting to restart production in these fields without outside assistance posed a daunting task they declined to initiate.
