Traffic Tickets are an Infraction. The level's of criminal offenses are classified as follows. Class A,B,C,D,E,F felonies Class A,B,C misdemeanors and then Infractions.
For example a Class A felony is Murder,Rape, A Class C is drug distribution and a Class F is grand larceny. A class a misdemeanor is a DUI or Domestic violence class c felony is public intox. Most moving violation that don't have bodily harm are classified as infractions.
