I recently began training for a ccna certification with a close friend. Much of what I am learning now seems closely related to my limited experience of installing cable. I am wondering where does cable systems come in as far as computer networking goes. I want to know are Token ring networks ethernet and other thing like frame relay eventully explained once you become a splicer or engineer. Also what type of network is a typical cable network. WAN or LAN. What is a broadband network. I only want responses from informed intelligent expericed splicers engineers and etc. I want to figure out how I can combine the two to make more. I am done with installs and want to work with businesses on the software and hardware side.
