You are right, the cable belongs to the customer.  With that being said, just about every satellite job I have seen has  new lines running to the boxes.  They are approve by the satellite company.  I have never installed satellite but I thought this was the norm.  Also I thought the specs for satellite called for solid copper RG-6 and not copper clad like CATV.  I dont know I am just asking.  THanks
