Nat, if you look harder into the U.S.S. Liberty you will find that our own Gov. wanted it sunk so we could join the war. LBJ (a Dem.}put the ship there and even said "I want that damn ship on the bottom" when he recalled the American jet's sent from a nearby aircraft carrier. When it didn't sink he covered it up to save Israel (who were a major contributor to the Dem. party) the embarrassment and so they would keep their mouths shut. Our Gov. in action.   Research it. It's a very interesting story,and is about to come out if the Dems.will allow the investigation. It was all politics.
