If you push the manual buttons on a versalift valve body they override any solenoid functions, that is why they call them Manual Controls
most likely your problem is not a o-ring problem because the boom will shudder if it is a 0-ring problem, it sound more like a safety holding valve to me,
It's not a ram o-ring in the cylinder because you would hear a Hi Pressure Squeal whenever you try to use that function.
