I was wrong about the 10%. Should have said 15%. I was going off memory and was wrong. Your taxable income is not your gross income. It is your income amount after your deductions. So although someone makes 250K/yr, after their deductions they are not taxed at the 250k rate.
My point is that everyone who doesnt pay the top rate, by MCT's definition, is having wealth redistributed to them. Everyone who has children and takes the earned income credit is also having wealth redistributed to them according to his definition.
All of us pay about half of the top rate and take the EIC. Some write off so much they dont pay anything and still get a refund. Either way, by his definition, we are all having welath redistrubuted to us. But he seems to think,that him having wealth redistributed to him is not as bad as other are having it redistributed to them.
