Can't speak with knowledge og sat work, but when I was in cable this line never failed me.....

Sir or Maam, I am leaving you my personal number for a couple reasons,
1. I take pride in my work and would love to have a chance to correct ANYTHING that isn't right.
2. If you call the 800 line you're gonna spend too much of your valuable time waiting on hold to press buttons until a LIVE person picks up. When I answer you get a Live person the first time, no button pushing.
3. Lastly, most likely I will get here faster anyway. It's like having a direct line to your personal "fix-it guy".

Good and bad with this.

Good-your phone will ring and it may or may not be your issue. maybe make some side money if not ur issue.

Bad- There will ALWAYS be the customer you can never satisfy. Hopefully you made enough side money from the others to offset the service call when they call in to the MSO.
