Re: Ever get one of these?

So here's my 2 cents -
I'm up in Idlewild (in the mountains above Palm Springs) doing a repair on a 10' C band dish. It's a vacation home so nobody is there (1990 - no cell phone). I start to feel a pain in my gut. It gets worse and worse and worse. I'm laying in my truck - dying and thinking this is an appendix attack except its in the wrong area. I damn near pass out a couple of times. Then I figure if I'm going to die to hell with it I'm going home. I drive the 1 1/2 hours back to LA and collapse in my room. I wake up the next day and feel sore but better.
In 2004 I finally succumb and have a gall bladder operation. The doctor tells my wife "That's about the nastiest thing I ever pulled out of someone". I'll never forget that day up on the mountain - sab...I feel your pain.
