Problem seems to occur in both 60V and 90V plant and primarily with MB-75SH/JH. J2 jumper (hi/low) is commonly found in the correct position in accordance with ac input. Surge Protector and 5A fuse left intact. No sign or smell of burnt components. Problem seems to be related to the final protection phase…Precision regulator. This my opinion…could be mistaken. What leads me to this phase is the evidence of a recognizable pulse at the 24V dc out test point.
Manual describes this output when the unit senses a short, shuts down the device and returns to operation when fault is cleared. Replacing the module ordinarily restores service. I have 6 faulty modules on the floorboard of my truck. If you have a solution…bandage fix…bypass this final stage ??? Please share your knowledge. Many would be grateful for you assistance.
