All the above is true to a point, but if the companies are controlling a guys monies by cheating him his due earnings then the above is correct. Yes work is scarce as it was before unions came along and companies took advantage of labor then also. What I am talking about are the rules are not set to make you a slave and they pay u just enough to get you by till the next check by cheating you out of your earnings. This is their strong arm tactic. They are cheating your family out of you also and if you do the work you should be paid for it even if work is scarce. Work is scarce is a fear cliche and a statement made mainly by companies or hourly employees. A man makes sure he gets paid for what he has earned. Giving in to the fear tactics just creates more companies that will cheat you. Hard times is not a good excuse to let yourself be cheated out of what you earn or an excuse to let them break the law by threanting you with no more work. That however is against the law itself. The greed and dishonesty in this business will Most of these contractors are living the good life off your labor even in the hard times they can take a cut, but they pass in on to us skipping themselves. Price of gas go up,materials go up, everthing goes up. How do they help us? Pay goes down! If you are single you can proably make it on that, but many are married and cannot. The point is to think on the whole body of the brotherhood not just yourself!
