We need to do this on our own. The IBW or CWA don't understand our business as well as we do. Let's form an alliance. Determine what our requirements are. Like other unions I feel we have to have training in place, we can't allow hacks to be members or it just decreases our ability to negotiate. You have to do the job, and we have to train and inspect the final work to ensure it meets standards. I think that if we do this correctly we can get the SCTE and other organizations to not only recognize us but endorse our membership. Let's get some real ideas flowing.
