When I installed a couple of years ago, we had to be at 75% NRB or below. Everyone complained that the customers did not have home phone service and was charged back for them. Then the % went to 70% and then 65%. Now that O&O is tired of charging back....they are cutting the techs that ae not hooking them up. Once all the techs got it in their scull that I better take advantage of every home phone job that I get, the NRB rate at our sight is below 65%. If you are routed a 4 room installation and the customer has phone service and you only hook up 2 or 3 to a phone line....then you deserve to be charged back or not routed anymore. It has been part of the installation process for a long time and now DTV is enforcing it on you or you can go to the cable company. Its easy to get it through a new techs head but difficult to change the old techs bad habits. :)
