HUNDREDS of Republican amendments were added to the bills. Please, google and find out when Republicans said they were going to filibuster. When you make those kinds of statments, the negotiations are over.
If you & I are negotiating and I tell you that I don't like your idea, and Im just going to do what I want to do, our negotiations are over. The DEMS are the majority party. What were they supposed to do? Beg the GOP to participate?
