My point with the irs link, is this. How was Capone brought down. How were many criminals brought down. The IRS brought them down. We all know that when you solve a crime, you follow the money. It's one of the oldest saying of our times, "follow the money". Who's job is it to followthe money in this country? The IRS.
If you're lieing about something financial, it more than likely will be detected in your tax return. IMO, it's just common sense.
