I am not sure what you are saying. Really. I didn't have insurance in 2000 and paid 13000 out of my pocket. Because I chose to. so yes I did have the freedom to choose coverage or not. I will pay more by not choosing what the gov thinks I should have in the form of a penalty. do I have to pay a penalty now? No. So I don't have to have coverage now and I won't be penalized for it. How is it you think it is the same when this bill kicks in?
