The government will not be running healthcare. Government will simply be regulating it. Just like it regulates, CATV, Telcom, and Power. Don't let the Glen Beck paranoia get to you.
You ever seen those unvieral service fund charges on some of your utility bills. It's a fund that is used to help make sure everyone can get access to things like telecom, power, and wireless services. This is really nothing new.
If we want to have wars, we've got to pay for them. Like wise, Reagan mandated the government pick up the tab for everyone's heathcare, we've got to find a more effecient way to pay for it. Fixing how we pay for the healthcare of the 40 million un-insured is about as good a place we can start.
