Im saying if we continue down our current path and not reform the way we pay for healthcare we will have issues.
Our government has the biggest tab and the least amount of service simply because our government has had the responsibility to pay for everybodys healthcare, but has had very little say in regulating how things work.
IMO, the healthcare bills before us is not allowing the government to take over healthcare. But if you take into consideration that taxpayers are ultimately responsible for picking up the tab for anyone in this country, is it really a rocket science that we should have more regulating ability.
For years, we have had the responsibility to pay for all healthcare, without the ability to regulate. It was a formula for disaster. The current bills aren't perfect. But they are much better than what we currently have.
