Well I havent been in it since the 70s or 80s, I got in in the early 90s but I agree with you totaly brother. I was broke in by an old school lineman, you didnt listen, you didnt come back, and you damm sure better be hitting every other stick till he got tired. INSTALLERS ARE NOT LINEMEN!!!! I dont even consider them Techs. A Tech to me is main-line if there aint signal, then you have the knowlege to fix it. Im not saying some of them didnt used to be Techs, but most of them are right out of high school and have only seen hooks on an Ameren commercial.
