Re: Universal Health Care

this reform is not universal health care. those who have it , keep it. those who are dirt poor already get it from the states. those who earn an honest living but just cant quite get there, they will get the help.

the very poor in this country has had free health care for a long time. and any one who has any sort of roots in a community are paying for it. just like before.

people who work for decent employers that provide health insurance may make less per hour, but they know the value of the insurance and count it as part of their wages. so, either way, those of us with company provided insurance already pay for our own insurance and we will keep paying for it.  just like before.

the very wealthy who pick and choose their insurance the way we would pick our dinner have always paid for and will keep paying for it. just like before.

the people who dont have insurance now are the real issue. there are those who make a living but still cant afford insurance and those who make better than decent living who choose do other things with their money besides buy insurance.

the ones who just cant afford it will be helped through some sort of subsidy (who knows, maybe a tax break to the insurance company). these people will go to the dr sooner and have less long term illnesses and deaths due to prevention. more importantly, their kids will have a chance at healthy teeth, eye sight and other things that get bad quickly from neglect.

those who can afford insurance and dont want it. these are the people who are going to hate this the most, because they will be affected the most. the only benefit here would be if the cost of insurance as a whole could come down due to all the new customers. but if not, then these people are looking at 300 a month for singles and 700 a month for families.

you see, no one is going to get a free ride who wasnt already getting it. those of us who already pay for insurance will not feel a thing just like the very wealthy who already have it (except in taxes). those who work and cant afford it will get help, which i dont hold against them. if it wasnt for the dumb fuckers who cant do my job and make considerably less than me, then my skills would be worthless.

so who's the problem here? i will tell you. people who rack up 10's of thousands of dollars worth of medical bills and have no money and no insurance. they file bankruptcy and fuck everyone else in the country with higher medical costs (although fucktards who falsely sue dr's are a big problem too), then they expect those of us who DO pay for health insurance to sit by quietly while they exercise their so-called constitutional right to fuck over an entire industry.

the only thing that is more despicable than these dice rolling, irresponsible "patriots" is the insurance companies. i've got to be honest here, the way these douchebag fucktard companies operate makes me want to vomit. how many people have died due to these companies fucking them over? how many sons and daughters, mothers and fathers have died way to early due to some bullshit loophole? how many dr's have been pushed into hmo contracts to survive in the industry (which is the real cause of declining medical care quality in america, for any of you too dumb to realize it)?

you think those of us who look forward to health care reform are non-patriotic? you think these reforms are going to ruin healtcare in america? you think this country is going to fall apart because the government is helping working class people get health insurance (at the discomfort of those who have continually "beat" the system by not having health insurance)?

its funny how alot of you want to look at this in black and white terms. those who are interested in healthcare reform are hard left socialists and complete fools who have let themselves be mislead. meanwhile, those who disagree with healthcare reform are patriots and have all the best knowledge and reasoning. this is pure bullshit and the reason why every day people like myself think you are paranoid fanatics. you have no middle ground, its "your way or the highway" and this is the reason why the republican party has become so weak.

so go ahead and throw your insults and tell me what you "know" will happen. tell me what a fool i am and how i am too stupid to realize when i'm being duped. tell me how wrong my reasoning is and how its going to destroy this country. meanwhile, i will wait and see. i dont agree with all the reform but i understand that the compromises made to get it passed are a neccessary shortcoming of our system. i am american enough to understand that. i believe in this country. those of you who keep talking about its downfall and how its already over obviously dont.
