Thanks for your candid and, I think, accurate reply.
My experience with Directv HSP subcontractors and fulfillment companies.....as an installer........is that the field work...installations & activations gets done. There is a time for appropriate QC. Then these beginner biz guys start discovering their costs. They discover that the HSP is not going to pay promptly if at all. Directv has no interest in their problems. AND they discover what cash flow and meeting a payroll entails.
It is at that point they accumulate cash and begin delaying payment to subs and suppliers. They are packing.
Soon the phones go unanswered and the cash is gone.
Directv has new customers paying bills. HSP subs are gone. Installers are not paid and clueless how to recover their money. They are not really contractors in the sense of being an independent businesses. They have been told they are responsible for taxes and stuff; yeah right!
So here we are.
