No shame in it at all brother. I'm in my 40's now and in-house is a little easier on the body. The trade off is worth it for me as it is with others. I'm sure everyone agrees: Contracting is a young-man's game. I was done with those 14-16hr days a couple years ago.
Quit contracting, got a younger-than-me wife, 2yr old kid now ... best part: I got time to spend with my family instead of throwing cable at 8pm.
