I have maintained that the current system needs work. I believe that. I don't believe gov is the answer. I believe this is another control by them. They are putting so many hidden agendas in the bill it is scary. And they keep trying to hurry one through. Why? What is the urgency? A close look will ruin the whole thing? I don't think so. They don't want us to know everything in it because they know it is wrong. So yes to your question, we need something done and there are people that can fix it. But more gov control is not it. I consider myself conservative and many of the Roosevelt dems were way more conservative than dems today. Many older dems I talk to are more like I am than the Clintons or Pelosis in this country.
In so many ways we are talking about the same thing getting done. This health care bill IS socialist. It is another stepping stone towards it. So how can we get the insurance to be profitable and beneficial to the user? That is the question for me. How can we get medical bills to be in the best interest of the patient and the doctor? Insurance companies are out of control with their lobbying efforts to force insurance on people. It was insurance companies that got mandated coverage on cars......not the people. Same with your house. Have to have it on anything you finance.........so how do we control that without gov intervention or more importantly, control.
To mandate coverage to the point of being fined for not wanting it or even going to jail for not having it is ludicrous. How is my not having coverage affecting my neighbor? How am I negligent by saying I will pay my own bill? So why should it be against the law not to have coverage? It is just about money and the gov thinks they should have it instead of private enterprise. Private enterprise pays taxes and so do the people working for it. Now we have jobs and taxes being paid and .........choice. We are losing our choices.........that is wrong.
