4. If you do crappy work it will eventually catch up to you then you will be here crying about someone not paying you. Learn how to do the job right. Word gets around.

It usually takes longer to weasel your way out of doing something than it does just to get it done.  Also if you BS the customer about something that you don't want to do, they will almost always either call your bluff or call customer service.  Don't try to find a way out, just find a way through.  This will help you regardless of whether you are the trainee or the CEO.
