Common sense goes a long way in just about anything you do in life. Working cable is no different.
1. If it sounds too good to be true it is too good to be true.
2. If your pay is based on a point/bonus system you are more than likely going to get screwed out of your money somehow some day.
3. Don't sit around passing up a sure gig waiting for the gig that someone else promised at a higher rate that is just around the corner. It may never come. A bird in hand.......
4. If you do crappy work it will eventually catch up to you then you will be here crying about someone not paying you. Learn how to do the job right. Word gets around.
5.Don't expect to get rich working for someone else even if they tell say you can.
This is mostly for new guys. You people that have been in this biz for any length of time know this stuff. Feel free to add to the list.
