I had a friend who was owed over $2,500.00,,he waited 30 days for his money,when he did not recieve it ,he contacted every customer he had not been paid for.he explained who he was and why he was calling and informed the customer he was going to be forced to put a construction lien against their home ,because his material was at their location,,he gave them him ex bosses number as well as a number for DTV,,it took about 3 months but he got his money back and DTV pulled the guys contract and supposedly blacballed him for working agin,,,if we all did that maybe it would help the theives out there,,,also holding your last check???the contract company may have signed something agreeing to a retainer when leaving ,,, but as a tech i have never signed anything ,,it is ILLEGEL to hold monies due to you ,for anything that MAY HAPPEN,,,you are suppose to get paid what you are owed,,and if there is a problem,,then they come after you later......
