I've heard all of them pro-GB arguments before. But I'm firmly entrenched in the use the splitter camp.

I think the fewer connections, the better. Service call records will always bear that out. Your far more likely to have a bad fitting, then a power surge, cause issues.

And are you trying to say that the subscriber doesn't pay any attention to that little green tag, lol?!?!

Bottom line is you have to do it the way that particular MSO in that system wants you to. I'm sure we agree on that. I don't recall a system ever asking me what I thought was best, lol.

I still say the majority of systems that make you use a GB when the splitter is present, do so purely out of spite!

And I'm responsible for the job that I do, at the time I am there. I cannot control what the homeowner, neighbor, satellite hack, some crackhead, or the next installer does after I leave.
