Maybe now they do. I worked for charter 5 years ago and they stopped using the ground block. We had a mandatory class on why it was not necessary to use a ground block and that it in fact was useless. We were told that that by passing the ground block and going straight to the splitter was getting rid of unnecessary baggage. I am not making this up,so don't treat me like I own the company. I am only relaying to you what did in fact take place. I believe they have went back to using the ground block.
