I personaly believe she backed out to help Owen, but even if that was not her agenda she has some scary skeletons in her closet with the "family" business, that has filed bankruptcy within the last 10 months, this may have been the reason she "backed out".
She is a Liberal republican and always has been, and the local republican leaders are REALLLY pissed about her endorsement, she's not long for life in her current slot.
I've known her from her inception into politics as the "mayor " of Gouvernuer and she never impressed me in the least, she has always used her political clout to benefit her personally and that in its self makes me sick to my stomach.
