As most rational people have stated ... We have no problem with LEGAL immigration.  It's the ILLEGAL where the problem grouses feathers.  There are more ILLEGAL immigrants than LEGAL, which doubles the bad-rub.

As for "surplus labor" ... Check outside your local Home Depot, Lowes, or local gardening center ... There's your "Labor Surplus".  How the Government is responsible for that I haven't a clue.  Maybe you can explain how governement is responsible for Paco The Illegal being unemployed out front of Home Depot.

As for stopping the handouts to those that refuse to work ... Well, even the American liberal government does have time limits on how long folks can remain on welfare before they are cut off completly.  Much more needs to be done.

I'll deal with, and comment on the impact of illegal immigration on our heath care system in another thread.  You have so much to comment on in your post, no sense trying to reply to it all in one post.
