I used hooks for 15 years and could not figure out why people used a ladder because I was a Gorilla. The last 5 years of my wasted life of a cable dawg I used Gorilla Glue. Sniffing Glue is for big Gorillas and not for  young people or on a need to use basis. The ladder is much easier and 0 times safer when you get to the Gorilla Glue Stage. The old line Dawgsw on here that are still hooking are living on the Gluem and don't work as hard as they use too. Any Gorilla  can Hook a Pole anywhere. As long the Gorilla has long arms  it will reach I have no problem. . People that hooked were looked at as being Polehikers and LineDawgs like oldlinedawg and Toast and  were strong and a little LocoDawgie like the Brikman. Things have changed,Now days you don't have to pull splitters out of your forearms unless you want to. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. I am on Glue and you to can get Glued!!!
