MagicJack works great if you have clean internet. If you have high packet loss like I do in Comcast's Detroit system, then it won't.
And that brings up another issue. If I call in a service call about my internet to Comcast, they will only send out an installer, who will find nothing wrong at the house, and the problem will not be solved. And then the original installer will be gigged because a service call was generated. Hmmmmmmmmm.......... maybe I have to sweep my node (for free) myself, to get it fixed. The plant here has more ingress then I've seen anywhere, in a long time.
