The Ka band...used for the High Def stuff is lower...250 - 1250mhg. Also that is how DTV got the 99 & 103 sats so close to the 101 west log sat. Different reg applied to the low freq. stuff................anyhow........I am pretty sure the low (Ka) stuff is not in the rg6.  The LNB filters and upconverts the signal.
