I agree ...and that's the point.  Service integrity WAS compromised at the time of install.  He left the job with an HD box not working and scratching his head on why.

My point is ... He could have avoided the whole issue if the sub was agreeable to having a homerun installed for that new HD box.

Just because a diplexer makes it easier, does not make it right.

A previous poster on this thread is correct.  The diplexer was designed for ANALOG catv/ant signal to share with satallite on the same homerun.  It was NOT designed for sharing two digital CPE operating at or near the same freqencies such as what was happening in the original thread post.
