I saw that ad, and it's an effing joke. for what they propose as a 60 hr work week you end up with $1953.00 USD and as an employee you will be paying taxes to Canada at the rate of 26% and I think the regional rate for BC is another 15% on top of that.
So figure in Truck, splicing trailer, tools and diagnostic equipment, gas, Insurances, roof over your head, manhole package, etc. your actually going to pay to work.
Here we go again with another prime thinking install pie slicing for construction, thinking they can pull 50% into their pockets for doing head hunting and paperwork.
At those prices they are going to get either nobody with any competence, or plain and simple nobody at all.
WOW $1152.00 after taxes for a 60 hr work week. After expenses you'll be able to send a pack of smokes home to Ma.
