I can envision everyone going fiber to the home in the future. How far in the future? I dont even want to guess. I have it in my house now. My set top box no longer has a coax input, it has a cat 5 input. As does my phone. I dont see the cable companies dying, just evolving. Maybe merging with other telco's into a huge blob. Then that may be a scary prospect.
