Congress and the 2 parties do in fact try to divide and conquer. And most of the country is center right. The pols in DC have no ones interest at heart except their own and they use smoke and mirrors to do their best to confuse the debate so that you cannot pin anything on them if it goes horribly wrong. That is the only reason they were trying to get any republicans to agree with the health care bills in congress now. Because if it doesn't work as promised only dems will suffer at the ballot box.

I don't have a problem saying there is a big problem in health care. I use in huge amount of it dealing with my own health issues. But the government is its own poster child for why we should not give it any additional power. I defy anyone to show me one large program, hell any program, that is run efficiently , on budget and that does what its stated purpose is. The power garnered by the elite privileged class of congressmen and senators comes from who, when where, why and to whom they spend our tax money period. All of these pork barrel projects go to friends who give perks or contributions to their re election campaigns in exchange for contracts or jobs etc.

The current batch of pols suck and it because we let this go on for far too long. Today is the best time to get started on cleaning it up because each day we sit on our hands, they do even more damage. They use the media to try and destroy people who shine light on what both sides are doing. That again only works if we let it. The tables need to be turned. Instead of senators chastising honorable citizens for calling her ma'am instead of "senator", we should be demanding respect and honesty for them having the privilege of serving this country in their position of TRUST.
