Exactly part of my point. And again, you got your 10 bucks from the car sold. I wonder how many would have sold without the program anyway?
You didn't really get your 10 bucks because you also paid taxes for the cars that were traded in. With around 90 million people working and 265 billion spent after accounting for the 350 million saved, your tax part of it would have been around 3 and a half dollars. So while the auto guy got his 10 he lost 3.50 for 6.50. How many auto workers we talking about? And the rest of us got to pay 3.50 for that auto worker and what was our benefit? Getting to perform a socialist act? That is what it is you know. We pay so they can have a job.
That is just one small drop in the bucket compared to all this administration wants us to give for their 'programs'. You are right, the market place should be deciding. So many jobs lost and so many people taking cuts in pay or hours, and auto workers refusing to when they should know it IS the market that decides their fate. But no, the government has to step in and start the snowballing social 'help' to save workers. It is just another step in the direction they want the US to go.
