I agree. The point is the status quo. One "party" has run Philadelphia for half a century and things are a mess. Philadelphia is a big union town, who basically calls the shots here politically. And it has gotten them where they are now. I am not advocating one party over another, just that people need to take off the blinders, stop worring about d's and r's and start woting with common sense. Why do people keep voting for the same people over and over and then cry that nothing changes or gets better? I could care less if they voted in all independents or libertarians etc. Party means nothing to me. But the average council person has been in office almost 20 years and the last 4 mayors have been ex council members. And that is the problem.
