I have been in this industry twenty years I Have good equipment 04 F55o with 42' boom, SDA 5000, TDR, Locator, All the hand tools, a 12x8 fiber trailer, fujikura and sumitomo fusion splicer, otdr, ect ect I am Cert sweep tech and ETA cert fiber installer. and have all the insurances.I have Great referances And these FAT cat primes want to pay 250.00 to splice and activate a node and .08 a foot to sweep. I know that times are tough but the jobs they are offering and the pay I would make more working for someone else. WE need to coop with each other and take the mid man out who does nothing but get a contract and take half the pay or better and then try to enslave a contractor for the meager pay they offer If we keep on this path we all loose. I am tired of primes asking us to half ass a job just to get it done.
