As an employer (no, I don't do sat work), I don't know how you guys put up with half of the cr_p that's asked of you.  Low pay, chargebacks, paying for your own insurance, etc etc. It's all garbage.  If you (the collective you, not just Cowboy) quit putting up with this mess, report the companies you're working for to your state labor boards by phone and in writing, and stop working for the companies altogether, that's how the creeps go out of business.  I know you have families to feed, but try to at least read the contract that they are asking you to sign and make a copy for yourself at Kinko's.  It's not hard.  It's called protecting your hiney.  Unions won't do it.  Unions are run by sharks, and will only enter an industry where they can make money.  That won't happen in this messed up industry.
God bless you hard workers....I sincerely hope this industry turns around for all of you.
