I remember in 99 when I hadn't been to the south for so many years I forgot what it was like. I was all worried about the racism and hate. Both ways. Then one day in a Burger King I was getting my soda and looking to get a straw and some people were in the way, not getting anything just waiting for their orders, but I was waiting and a young black man looked at me and said "go ahead, sir". That small little thing showed me a respect and no hate or indifference but actually saw that I was needing something, even as small as it was and went to help me. I worried no more about the 'whole' of the people being bad or racist.
As far as fixing things from the Bar we can help each other and maybe it will spread but we aren't the only ones who are trying to make a better attitude. And there is nothing fair in this world. We keep consistent with our beliefs and let go what we can't change.
